JAVIER

Javier Mercedes is a senior at Ball State University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology with a minor in physics. Film IN Music is part of an independent study he created for this spring semester in order to help spread the local band community across the state.

Javier had the experience of a life time working on the production crew during the 2009 and 2010 summers at the live venues of Interlochen Center for the Arts, MI. After his first summer, he returned as lead audio technician where he worked with national touring bands and local acts within the school. He is also the lead tech of the Ball State University Singers. Being Indiana's Official good will ambassadors, they tour around Indiana giving concerts portraying music of faith, laughter, hope, and love. Javier works for Ball State's Central Recording Services, which entails recording all the concerts in the school of music and providing live sound for the events if needed. He also works as an audio assistant for Teleplex broadcasting services on campus, which broadcasts the live internet feeds for online classes.

When not working, Javier enjoys Normal Nintendo and all things associated with Normal Nintendo music. N64 and Super Nintendo are also high on the list. He loves Anime, his wonderful girlfriend, Sarah, and hanging out with friends. But above all, he enjoys the simple pleasures of a neatly wrapped cable. (and people who know how to wrap cable)
